Reports return overview figures as a list of dated entries over a period: accounts, invoices, orders, purchase invoices, purchase orders, payments and refunds, and purchase payments and refunds. Each report is a single read with a date range. This area has 7 endpoints, and all seven SDKs call every one.

Before you call

Register your API credentials once when your app starts, as shown in Authentication. Every SDK sample on these pages then gets its client in one line. With cURL, send the access token in an Authorization header: Authorization: Bearer $ACCESS_TOKEN.

Things to know

  • Every report comes back under report. Inside it, one key names the report, such as accounts holding an account_overview list.
  • Choose the period with date_range. Send date_range=custom with from and to dates as YYYY-MM-DD; an unrecognised date_range returns 400.
  • A report has a default period. Called with no parameters, it gives 7 dated entries, the same count as a seven day custom range.
  • Amounts and counts are strings. Fields such as amount, count, net_gain and invoice_total are JSON strings, not numbers.
  • A report can take up to 90 seconds. Set timeout_seconds (Python), timeoutSeconds (JavaScript, PHP, .NET, Java, Dart) or TimeoutSeconds (Go) to 120 in the configuration you register, as shown in Authentication.
