Operator groups sort your operators into sets that share a role. Here you list, create, read, update and delete them. This area has 5 endpoints, and every SDK supports all of them.

Register your API credentials once when your app starts, as shown in Authentication. Every SDK sample on these pages then gets its client in one line. With cURL, send the access token in an Authorization header: Authorization: Bearer $ACCESS_TOKEN.

Things to know

  • Each group’s id starts with rol_. List operator groups returns each group’s id.
  • role is required to create a group and takes the role’s dashed uuid, such as 3f6b8c2e-7a1d-4e95-b0c4-8d2a6f1e9b73. The rol_ id and the same value without dashes are refused as an invalid role.
  • One group comes back under operator_group; a listing comes back under data. A listing also carries pagination; pass pagination.next_cursor as cursor while has_more is true.
  • Answers differ in what they carry. The create answer holds only object, id, name, display_name, description and href. An update answer names role as a reference with the dashed uuid and no href, where reads name it as a role with its rol_ id.
  • A group can be deleted while it has operators in it. A delete returns 204 with no content.
