An attribute attachment is the file a custom attribute of the file type holds for an account. This area has 1 endpoint, which returns that file as base64 text, and all seven SDKs call it.

At a glance

Before you call

Register your API credentials once when your app starts, as shown in Authentication. Every SDK sample on these pages then gets its client in one line. With cURL, send the access token in an Authorization header: Authorization: Bearer $ACCESS_TOKEN.

Things to know

  • The path is singular. Call /attribute_attachment/{file_uuid}, not a plural form.
  • The file comes back as a JSON object with one key, base64. The body is {"base64": "..."}, so decode the base64 value to get the file’s bytes.
  • Use the uuid the account’s file attribute links to. An account’s file attribute points at this path; take the file_uuid from there.
  • An unknown uuid returns 404. The error code is resource_not_found.
