# Purchase credit note applications

> List and read purchase credit note applications, the records of a purchase credit note being spent on a purchase invoice.

Purchase credit note applications are the records of a purchase credit note being spent on a purchase invoice, through a purchase payment. These endpoints list and read applications; an application is created when a purchase payment spends a purchase credit note. This area has 2 endpoints, each available in all seven SDKs.

## Before you call

Register your API credentials once when your app starts, as shown in
[Authentication](https://exsited.mintlify.site/authentication.md). Every SDK sample on these pages then gets its client in one line.
With cURL, send the access token in an `Authorization` header: `Authorization: Bearer $ACCESS_TOKEN`.

## Things to know

* **Applications are read only here.** One is created when a purchase payment spends a purchase credit note through `credit_note_applications`.
* **Each application links a credit note to a payment.** It carries `purchase_credit_note`, `purchase_payment`, `amount` and `remaining_balance`.
* **One application comes back under `purchase_credit_note_application`.**
* **Listings page by cursor.** Records are under `data`; pass `pagination.next_cursor` as `cursor` while `pagination.has_more` is `true`.
